I graduated Oklahoma State University in 1987 with a B.S. degree in management and a minor in accounting and marketing. After graduating from college, I began my career at a company called Seven Rivers. I worked there for four years as a commodity trader. I was then hired by S.O.O. Trucking where I managed their company trading animal feed ingredients and dispatching their company trucks. I was the manager at S.O.O. trucking for 16.5 years and during my time grew the company to annual sales of over 100 million per year. I started my own business, Capstone Commodities in 2007. While at Capstone I over saw a staff of twelve employees. During my tenure the company grew to have annual sales of over 200 million per year while shipping over a million tons of animal feed annually. In 2021 I sold Capstone Commodities to The Andersons, a fortune 500 company. In 2012, I started Rickert Properties which consist of owning office space in Round Rock, Texas and a 480 acre farm in Alamosa, Colorado.
